BIG FISH - Nathalie Gelineau

Born in Ottawa, Canada. Has a Bachelor of Commerce with specialization in Marketing and International Commerce from University of Ottawa, a Master Degree in Marketing and Fundrasing for the Arts from University of Waterloo and a Certificate in Spanish from Université du Québec à Montreal (UQAM).

Ms. Gelineau has spent the first 8 years of her career working for internationally reknown Canadian arts institutions in the fields of marketing and fundraising. Namely at Opera Lyra Ottawa, Ottawa Shakespeare Festival, Centaur Theatre, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens and National Theatre School of Canada.

She then left the non-lucrative world to concentrate on her real passion: advertising. Ms. Gelineau worked for 3 years in a reputable ad agency in Montreal, Plan B Strategies, where she was Account Director for Lufthansa German Airlines, Hilton International, Hertz, Mont Blanc, Kodak, Hewlett Packard, and Director of Marketing for the Daily Auction website. Although based in Montreal during that time period, Ms. Gelineau and her staff of 12 ( designers, programers, project managers, public relations and sales staff) worked out of satellite offices in United States (New York, Miami and Los Angeles), Germany (Frankfurt), England (London), and Canada (Toronto).

After 3 years of constant international business travelling, Ms. Gelineau decided to stop living out of her suitcases. In January 2002, she escaped the cold winters of Canada and moved to paradise-like Playa del Carmen, Mexico, where she worked as Director of Marketing and Sales for Quinta Magazine while founding Starfish Marketing Strategies.

She is fluent in English, French and Spanish.
